Overview

The Blue Ox Custom Base Plate is designed for flat towing a daily driver behind an RV or motorhome. It provides a vehicle-specific fit, integrates with the vehicle frame, and securely bolts into the chassis to offer a solid attachment for dinghy towing. The base plate provides an attachment point for a separately sold Blue Ox towing bar. Its unique design allows for flex to absorb shock, spreading weight evenly to minimize pressure on the suspension. Constructed from durable steel, it is hidden beneath the vehicle body for an OE look. Most models feature removable twist-lock tabs for aesthetic appeal when not towing, avoiding large protruding brackets. It sets industry standards with a locking linchpin. Depending on the application, drilling may be required for installation. Backed by a 3-year limited warranty, it is made in the USA.
