The Genuine BMW Basic Control Unit DME, also known as an ECM or ECU, is a critical component for your vehicle's engine management system. Designed as a direct replacement for part numbers 12148612998 and 12148618862, this new unit ensures optimal performance and reliability. This DME is specifically designed for use with the MSD81 DME/ECU and is intended for N54 equipped 3.0 liter twin-turbo BMW models. It is compatible with various BMW models including the 1 Series M Coupe (E82) from 2011, 135i Convertible and Coupe (E88, E82) from 2008-2010, 335i Convertible, Coupe, and Sedan (E93, E92, E90) from 2007-2010, 335i xDrive Coupe and Sedan (E92, E90) from 2009-2010, 335is Convertible and Coupe (E93, E92) from 2011-2013, 335xi Coupe and Sedan (E92, E90) from 2007-2008, and Z4 sDrive35i and sDrive35is (E89) from 2009-2016. A crucial requirement for this control unit is that it must be coded. When ordering, you must provide your vehicle's VIN to ensure proper programming. Failure to do so will result in an inoperable unit. Please verify your existing DME/ECU part number before placing your order.
