Each Type BASIC damper is engineered vehicle-specifically and developed exclusively for US model vehicles, leveraging TEIN's advanced technology and manufacturing processes at a reduced cost. The system features height-adjustable shocks or struts, main springs, lower spring seats, seat locks, thrust washers, rubber bump stops, dust covers, and hook spanners. The shell case of the damper has been shortened from OEM length to allow for increased piston travel, particularly at lower ride heights. This design contributes to improved performance and handling characteristics. Specifications for this system include front spring rates of 391 lbs per inch (7 kg per mm) and rear spring rates of 363 lbs per inch (6.5 kg per mm). The adjustable ride height offers a front drop of -0.7 inches (-18mm) and a rear drop of -0.8 inches (-21mm).
