The ARCO Marine BI-1602 is a battery isolator designed for marine applications. It features solid-state technology that allows electrical current to flow in one direction only. This enables an alternator to be connected directly to two batteries without the risk of a higher-charged battery discharging into a lower-charged one. Both batteries are automatically charged in proportion to their needs whenever the engine is running.
