This subwoofer boasts a High-Amplitude Multi-Roll (H.A.M.R.) surround that allows for efficient air movement and 20mm of total cone excursion for increased accuracy. It also includes a polypropylene/ceramic composite dust cap for rigidity and internal damping, contributing to smooth bass response and tight bass reproduction.

The Alpine R2-W10D4 is a 10-inch, 2nd-generation R-Series subwoofer engineered to deliver enhanced sound performance with more authoritative bass. At its core is a new motor structure featuring larger, double-stacked magnets that provide increased motor force for deeper, more controlled bass compared to previous generations. An integrated Faraday ring minimizes distortion, resulting in cleaner bass output. Constructed with a durable Kevlar-reinforced pulp cone, the R2-W10D4 ensures reliable performance even at high volumes. The dust cap is made from a polypropylene/ceramic composite, offering rigidity and excellent internal damping for a smooth bass response and tight reproduction. This material also provides higher heat reliability for consistent performance. The subwoofer incorporates Alpine’s High Amplitude Multi-Roll (HAMR) Surround Technology, a rubber surround designed for efficient air movement and cooling, enabling up to 20mm of total cone excursion for exceptional accuracy. The Dual Voice Coil (DVC) design with easy configuration jumpers offers flexible application possibilities. Additionally, the R2-W10D4 features an "EZ-Change" twist-lock grille mounting system for easy installation and removal of an optional grille, sold separately (KTE-10G Grille System). The subwoofer is CTA-2031 compliant and offers a frequency response of 26Hz-200Hz with 750W RMS and 2250W peak power handling.
