The Weiand 1985WND Nostalgic Series Hi-Ram Intake Manifold is engineered for extreme high-RPM performance in demanding applications such as drag racing, tractor/truck pulls, and performance marine. This tunnel ram manifold is designed for Chevrolet Big Block V8 engines equipped with rectangular port heads, operating in an optimal RPM range of 2,800 to 8,000 RPM. It features a square flange carburetor mount, accommodating two 4-barrel carburetors, and is compatible with 396-502ci engines, including 502ci crate engines with high-performance rectangular port heads.

Crafted with patented D-shaped port runners and a generously sized plenum chamber, this manifold ensures optimum velocity of the air/fuel mixture, delivering it efficiently to the cylinder head intake ports for maximum naturally aspirated competition performance. The construction is cast with a satin finish, and it is important to note its legal classification for racing use only. Key dimensions include a front height of 10.12 inches and a rear height of 10.93 inches, with port dimensions of 2.34 inches in height by 1.55 inches in width, and a carburetor flange center-to-center measurement of 9-11/16 inches.

Installation considerations include using a side-by-side 2x4 tunnel ram carburetor linkage kit (such as #4022) as a GM HEI distributor will not clear. For carburetors with vacuum-operated secondaries, diaphragm housing covers (like #20-28) are recommended for more balanced operation. For tall blocks, the Weiand P/N 8204 manifold spacer plate kit is required. This manifold is part of the Weiand Nostalgia Series, utilizing original tooling. As a result, minor appearance imperfections may be present due to the original sand casting process, though these do not affect the part's functionality. The Weiand Nostalgia series intakes are proudly cast and machined in the USA.

Compatibility is specifically with Chevrolet Big Block V8 engines featuring rectangular port heads. This manifold is not suitable for stock engine configurations and is intended for performance racing applications.
