The GrimmSpeed BB500 Turbocharger is a performance-engineered, stock-location replacement designed specifically for Subaru EJ series engines. Built with advanced materials including billet 2618 compressor wheels, A356 compressor housings, and D5S turbine housings, this unit utilizes a ceramic ball-bearing design with silver-plated 4340 bearing cages to ensure durability and efficiency. It features dual piston rings and an advanced oil flinger to prevent CHRA pressurization and oil leakage. Compatibility covers 2004-2021 Subaru STI models, while other models like the 2002-2007 WRX, 2004-2008 Forester XT, 2008-2014 WRX, and 2005-2009 Legacy GT/Outback XT require specific supporting modifications, such as the GrimmSpeed Intercooler and STI-Style Conversion Hose.
