RacingLine’s stunning Stage 3 Forged Monoblock 6-piston Big Brake upgrade for MQB & MQB 'EVO' is simply a level above anything else on the market, packed with motorsport-inspired features. Designed without compromise for ultimate stopping performance, this kit features 380mm discs (requiring a minimum of 19" wheels), and stunning 'R' Blue calipers. The design uses advanced 5-axis CNC manufacturing techniques, making it more akin to top-level motorsport components than typical aftermarket parts. Each lightweight Forged Monoblock caliper is a one-piece construction, starting from a single ultra-strong forged billet, resulting in a 6-piston caliper that is both stiffer and lighter than any other, with exceptional cooling characteristics and stunning detailing. The strength allows for thin-profile calipers, aiding in wheel clearance packaging. The kit is engineered exclusively for VWG cars, with piston sizes perfectly matched to VWG’s master cylinders and servos for progressive pedal response. The caliper, pads, and bracket assembly together weigh 11.7lb (5.3kg) compared to 18.9lb (8.6kg) for the stock Golf 7R / S3 equivalent. The kit offers 380mm fully-floating ‘triple-grove’ two-piece rotors, providing greater heat capacity and reducing fade. These floating high cast carbon rotors are made from a mixture of high-quality steel and carbon for a higher friction coefficient. The fully floating mounting allows for thermal expansion and contraction, preventing cracking, and anti-rattle mounts keep it quiet. The 380mm rotor kit requires a minimum of 19” wheels. Composite Ceramic Fast-Road Pads are included, and the kit uses a generic pad size for wide compatibility with alternative pad brands. This Stage 3 Brake Kit includes everything needed for installation: rotors, calipers, mounting brackets, fast road pads, and braided steel lines, with an option for RacingLine’s Hub Adaptors for extra wheel clearance on OEM wheels.
