The BBS CH-R wheel, MPN CH130SPO, is a one-piece counter pressure cast wheel with a flow-formed rim. It features a back-milled spoke area and a stainless steel rim protector. The wheel's weight is optimized through FEM (Finite Element Method) analysis. BBS has been utilizing flow-forming technology since 1996, a process that involves continuous rotational motion with three hydraulic rollers and intense pressure at high temperatures to form the inner rim area. This process enhances the mechanical properties of the cast rim, leading to increased strength, stiffness, and impact resistance, offering high performance at a lower cost than forged wheels.
