The foundry transforms aluminum, heated to over 1,000°C, into light alloy wheels using a low-pressure casting process, followed by cooling in a water bath. Quality control includes X-ray inspection. Wheels undergo thermal treatment and flow forming, where the rim is rolled under high pressure for material compaction and perfect strength, followed by a quenching water bath and a final heating cycle to improve mechanical characteristics. Precision machining uses specialized CNC machines for final dimensions, deburring, and unevenness checks before painting. The Herbolzheim paint shop applies base coats and desired colors with state-of-the-art technologies for shine, finish, and durability. The processing center in Herbolzheim offers customization options like burnishing, pad printing, lasering, and ceramic polishing, ensuring high-quality wheels with unique finishes, continuously improving material, surface design, and quality.
