BC Racing Coilovers DS Series 12- Mazda CX-5

The BC Racing DS Series Coilovers are designed for street driving and occasional road course use. They feature a proprietary digressive piston design, which offers increased damping force at low piston velocities while maintaining a linear damper feel at higher piston velocities. This design enhances driver feel by improving response to roll, pitch, dive, and quick weight transitions. The coilovers utilize a mono-tube shock design with a large 44mm diameter piston in a 53mm diameter damper body to maximize oil capacity, reducing oil temperature and improving damper performance. Key features include 30-levels of simultaneous compression and rebound adjustment, height adjustment independent of spring compression (via the shock body), and pillowball upper mounts (which are camber adjustable on applicable kits). The coil springs are made from high-strength SAE9254 cold wound steel, compression tested for over 500,000 cycles with less than 5% deformation. The damper units are black chromed steel for corrosion protection, and aluminum components are anodized. They also feature a patented concave lower locking collar to prevent loosening of the bottom mount, high-quality oil to maintain consistent viscosity across varying temperatures, and nitrogen-pressurized dampers to reduce oil aeration and cavitation. The design incorporates bearing-mounted upper spring platforms to minimize stiction and improve steering efficiency. The product comes with a one-year warranty against manufacturer defects and is fully rebuildable with all parts available. Optional upgrades like damper adjusting extenders and assister spring perches are also available.
