BD Diesel's exchange valve bodies are modified, tuned, and tested for optimal performance. They feature increased line pressure, a revised manual valve design, and a custom BD separator plate, leading to improved shift quality, increased clutch holding capacity, and extended transmission life. This new design achieves up to 80% higher clutch apply pressures over stock and up to 50% over competitors, with increases starting at lower engine RPMs and lighter throttle. It also enables first and second gear lock-up, aiding in slowing heavy loads (requires AutoLoc/TorqLoc). The unit eliminates the need for a BD PressureLoc when an exhaust brake is installed.
