BD Diesel Exhaust Brake - 2003-2007 Ford 6.0L PowerStroke Auto Trans - 1027145AP

This turbo-mount exhaust brake from BD Diesel uses Variable Orifice Technology to provide consistent retarding power across the engine's RPM range. It replaces the factory elbow between the turbo and the exhaust system. Features include a rugged cast-iron housing, AlumiBronze bushing, and a piston ring-sealed, stainless steel butterfly shaft. It is actuated by an air cylinder (newer models) or a 3-inch vacuum cylinder (earlier models). The design ensures the offset butterfly valve does not impede exhaust flow when open. It includes a threaded port for an EGT probe and a 1/4-inch stainless steel port for monitoring brake performance. Control is via a lighted On/Off toggle switch for automatic transmissions or a stick-mounted rocker switch for manual transmissions. An air compressor is included in later model kits. This product is designed for modified or twin-turbo applications as well, with remote-mount or vacuum-actuated four-inch kits available.
