Bed Cage With External Frame Rail Shock Mounts

Developed from extensive experience with custom bed cages, this prefab kit offers a perfected design focused on maximizing travel while simplifying installation. It takes up minimal bed space without compromising structural integrity and includes accessory mounting holes in the center section for items like dust lights and flag whips. It is compatible with both leaf-over and leaf-under spring packs. The bed cage features a superior design compared to cantilever suspension systems. Its shock mounts are positioned outside the frame rails, providing increased stability, and the shocks are mounted vertically with a motion ratio close to 1:1. This setup allows for proper dampening throughout the suspension travel. In contrast, cantilever systems often have a higher motion ratio, requiring smaller, harder-to-valve shocks that are prone to overheating due to less fluid volume. The bed cage construction utilizes CAD design, boxed plate and tube construction with 2"x.120" DOM tubing, and 1/4", 3/16", and 1/8" plate, all professionally MIG welded in the USA. Specifications for the Prefab Bed Cage include a recommended 16" shock length (26" collapsed, 42" extended, though 14" shocks with extended rod ends can also be used) and a recommended 3.0" shock diameter (compatible with 2.5"-3.5" shocks). It features bypass tubes on the front and back of the shocks, a 1.5" bed cage shock mounting width, and requires 1.5"-2" wheel spacers or a 1.5"-2" wider axle per side. The accessory mounting holes are 1/2". Recommended leaf packs include Deaver I96, and it works with all major shock manufacturers like Fox and King. This bed cage is specifically designed for 2007-2021 Toyota Tundra models, compatible with both 2WD and 4WD configurations.
