Rock Slide Engineering's newly designed 3rd Generation Step Slider is a fully functional, trail-rated rock slider integrated with a power step. It features an additional 2 inches on the back end for better rear door access. Engineers have incorporated smart motor technology, eliminating the gas strut for increased motor longevity and consistent deployment/retraction, even in harsh weather. A sleep mode minimizes battery drainage. The slider protects the rocker panel of your Jeep. The step deploys a full 12 inches down from the body when the door is opened and automatically retracts flush when closed. Made of 10-gauge steel, it undergoes an automated powder coat system for acid etching and a textured black topcoat. The internals are stainless steel and aluminum to prevent rusting. This plug-and-play system uses factory mounting points for a no-drill installation and a stand-alone wire harness, preserving the manufacturer warranty. The Step Slider is rated for moderate off-road conditions; more aggressive trails require an optional skid plate for stability and protection.
