Beehive Valve Spring Set

The PAC Racing 1218 valve spring kit serves as a high-performance, drop-in upgrade for factory LS cylinder heads. These ovate wire beehive springs are built using proprietary PACaloy super clean wire and undergo a multi-peen process and Nano-Peen surface treatment to enhance strength, durability, and operating cycles. Each spring is heat-treated in-house to ensure precise spring rates for improved valvetrain stability during aggressive cam operation. Rated for a maximum valve lift of 0.600 inches, the 1218 features an installed height of 1.800 inches, an installed load of 130 lbs, and an open load of 318 lbs with a spring rate of 313 lbs/in. Applications include GM Gen III/IV LS engines, as well as Ford 2V, 3V, and 4V Mod Motors, Big Block and Small Block Chevy engines, and Chrysler Gen III Hemi and Viper SRT-10 platforms. For optimal installation, the manufacturer recommends using specific retainers such as the 300 series (R310, R311, R363) or 500 series (R510, R511) and the S111 valve spring seat.
