These bumpers are produced in a specialized steel factory in Brazil to exact factory specifications before being sent to a European chrome facility for finishing. The chroming process utilizes the latest technologies, adhering to strict environmental standards. The chrome specifications include a copper layer of 20 µ ± 5 µ, a nickel layer of 20 µ ± 5 µ, and a chrome plating of 0.3 µ ± 0.1 µ. To ensure durability and quality, BBT conducts rigorous testing. A random selection of two out of every 100 bumpers undergoes a salt spray test lasting no less than 240 hours, a standard met by major manufacturers like Mercedes Benz and BMW. Furthermore, these test bumpers are subjected to a torsion machine to verify chrome adhesion. For optimal longevity, it is crucial to maintain the chrome finish by coating the bumper with a light layer of wax, especially in areas with harsh environmental conditions like coastal or northern regions. Regular waxing, ideally with every vehicle wash, is recommended to prevent rust. This bumper is sold individually. Be aware of cheaper reproductions; genuine BBT chrome bumpers feature a small BBT quality sign sticker on the inside for authenticity.
