Description

Lakewood safety bellhousings are designed for maximum performance and durability. They are laser cut to improve speed and accuracy of manufacturing, roto-brated after welding, and hydro-formed to relieve any stress created during manufacturing. These bellhousings are S.F.I. 6.1 certified and feature a durable powder-coated finish for years of corrosion-free service. This specific bellhousing is 6.45 inches deep and designed for 1955-1957 Chevy models with mechanical clutch linkage. It accommodates a 168-tooth flywheel with an 11-inch clutch and is compatible with Muncie, BorgWarner T10, and Tremec TKO transmissions. The product includes a block plate, frame mounts, and Grade 8 hardware. It is designed for a bell-mounted starter but can also be used with a block-mounted starter.
