Overview

The BDS Suspension belly pan skid plate is an innovative "belly up" style pan constructed from heavy-duty 3/16" steel, designed to provide maximum strength and increased ground clearance for Jeep Wrangler TJ models from 1997-2006. This skid plate includes a built-in new transmission mount, allowing for greater ground clearance without the need to alter motor mounts.

The BDS Suspension belly pan skid plate is engineered for serious off-road abuse, offering a "belly up" design crafted from heavy-duty 3/16" steel for maximum chassis stiffening and strength. This skid plate increases ground clearance by 1-1/4" on 2002-2006 models and by 1/2" on 1997-2002 models. A key feature of the BDS system is its integrated new transmission mount, which allows for enhanced ground clearance without requiring changes to the vehicle's motor mounts. It is compatible with Rubicon models, though minor modifications may be necessary. However, this belly pan will not work with a transfer case drop system and is explicitly not designed for vehicles equipped with 4-cylinder engines. It is compatible with all 6-cylinder applications with the exception of 2003-2006 automatic transmissions.
