The Cloyes 9-5225 is a front engine timing belt tensioner designed to absorb changes in timing belt tension. It provides constant tension to reduce noise, prevent belt flapping, and ensure proper transmission efficiency. This tensioner is CAD designed and manufactured using advanced materials, then extensively tested for function and durability. Cloyes recommends replacing belt tensioners and idlers when the belt is replaced.
