The Black Forest Industries BFI MK8 Stage 2 engine mount is engineered to significantly reduce unwanted engine movement, a common issue with even lightly modified vehicles. Stock mounts can fail quickly under increased power from software upgrades, often within 10,000 miles. This replacement mount, made from durable billet and polyurethane, ensures your engine stays firmly planted, which helps transfer more power to the ground and improves shifting performance. This Stage 2 mount utilizes 85a durometer bushings, providing maximum performance for enthusiasts with heavily modified street cars and dedicated track vehicles. It is important to note that installing Stage 2 mounts will result in a noticeable increase in noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) within the cabin. The package includes one Stage 2 complete replacement engine side mount along with the necessary installation hardware for the factory grounding straps. This engine mount is a direct fit for the 2022 and newer Volkswagen GTI and Golf R models. While a standard MQB mount may also fit, it would require modifications.
