The Big Block Ford Cog Race Kit with F-1X by The Supercharger Store is engineered to bolt on significant horsepower to 385 Series Big Block Ford engines (429/460). This driver-side mounted supercharger system utilizes an F-1X ProCharger, known for its self-contained design and impressive airflow capabilities, supporting up to 1,600 horsepower. The kit is designed for engines producing 400-600 naturally aspirated horsepower and typically delivers a 50-125% increase, with boost levels ranging from 10 to 24 lbs. The pulley is sized for each specific application to optimize performance. For well-built engines, this system is capable of achieving over 1450 max supercharged horsepower. This system requires a carbureted/aftermarket EFI setup, specifically a Holley 4150 series or similar blow-through carburetor, or a blow-through capable throttle body EFI with a fuel system upgrade. Compatibility is confirmed for Ford 429/460 engines from 1968 through 1987. The F-1X ProCharger itself features a 10.5-inch volute diameter and a patented, ultra-high speed compound bearing assembly, designed for maximum performance and durability with self-contained oiling that eliminates the need for external oil lines or oil pan modifications.
