The Lingenfelter Big Bore Direct Injection High Volume Fuel Pump addresses a key limitation in achieving higher power output from GM Gen V V8 engines by significantly increasing fuel flow capacity. With a 12.0 mm bore, this pump delivers over 30% more fuel than stock LT1/L86 pumps and nearly 10% more than the LT4 pump. When paired with a higher lift camshaft lobe, such as Lingenfelter's GT35 with a 7.85 MM lobe, the flow increase can reach 40% over stock LT4 configurations. Constructed from precision-machined, brand-new production LT1 fuel pump cores, this assembly features a DLC-coated bore and piston for enhanced durability and performance. It is designed to be compatible with both production LT1/LT4 fuel pump lobes and aftermarket higher lift lobes, though specific installations might require a lash cap or a revised spring for optimal lifter control with certain aftermarket lobes. This high-volume fuel pump is E85 compatible and is tested to support over 1400 horsepower with appropriate fuel like VP Motorsports 109. It requires a consistent low-side fuel pressure of 68 PSI or greater and has a maximum recommended operating pressure of 15 MPa (2175 PSI).
