Big Bore Throttle Body

The Shark Racing 2014-2016 Forte Big Bore Throttle Body is a performance upgrade for the 1.6 non-turbo engine. This remanufactured OEM unit undergoes a modification process where the bore is increased by 4 mm, bringing it to a total of 60 mm from the original 56 mm. The modification is carried out by a specialty tuner experienced with race car applications, with extensive testing conducted on numerous race cars in Korea. This throttle body is supplied without the input and output coolant line ports. These ports are typically included to prevent freezing in extremely cold climates. For the vast majority of vehicles and climates, these ports are not necessary. Owners in regions where freezing is a concern can bypass the ports by connecting the hoses together. Installation of this throttle body requires the battery to be disconnected to prevent engine codes. After installation, it is recommended to perform an ECU recalibration for the new throttle body. The procedure for this relearn process is provided, ensuring optimal performance without affecting any existing ECU tuning. The battery must have above 10 volts, and the engine temperature must be above 41.5 degrees Fahrenheit for the relearn procedure to complete successfully.
