The Shark Racing Big Bore Throttle Body is a remanufactured OEM unit designed for the 2.0 non-turbo engine.

It modifies the factory 60 mm bore to 63 mm, a modification performed by a specialty tuner tested extensively on race cars in Korea. The unit ships without input and output coolant line ports, which are typically only needed for extreme cold climates to prevent freezing. Many users bypass these ports even when present.

The Shark Racing Big Bore Throttle Body is a performance upgrade for the 2021+ Elantra with the 2.0 non-turbo engine. This unit is a remanufactured OEM throttle body that has been modified to increase the bore size from the factory 60 mm to 63 mm. This modification is performed by a specialty tuner with extensive experience in race cars, and the product has been tested on numerous race vehicles in Korea. The increased bore size is intended to improve airflow and engine performance. The throttle body will ship without the input and output coolant line ports. These ports are primarily intended for vehicles operating in extremely cold climates to prevent the throttle body from freezing. For the vast majority of users, these ports are unnecessary, and many choose to bypass them even on throttle bodies that are equipped with them. The hoses can be connected to each other to bypass the throttle body if desired. Installation requires disconnecting the battery to prevent engine codes. After installation, an ECU recalibration may be necessary, and a specific HYUNDAI THROTTLE BODY VALVE RELEARN PROCEDURE is provided to guide the user through this process if engine codes appear. This procedure will not affect any existing ECU tuning. The procedure requires the battery to be above 10-volts and engine temperature above 41.5 degrees.
