The kit features calipers constructed from a solid billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring lightweight strength and resistance to corrosion. Aluminum pistons are incorporated for superior heat management and consistent operation. Key components include two-piece rotors, available in slotted or cross-drilled options. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily-driven vehicles due to better cooling, while slotted rotors are advised for more track-oriented use. The kit comes standard with SC5 NAOC Ceramic pads, which provide optimal performance for street and occasional track use, while also reducing brake dust, noise, and rotor wear. The operating temperature range for these pads is between 194°F and 1022°F. Additionally, D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are included, which prevent line expansion under pressure, leading to a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel compared to standard rubber lines. Customization options are available for the brake calipers, including standard painted colors like Orange, Red, Black, and Yellow, as well as premium high-polish finishes in Silver, Gold, and Titanium. Over 20,000 custom color finishes are also offered. Ksport Big Brake kits are built to order, and customers should allow 4-6 weeks for production and delivery.
