The opposed piston caliper design significantly improves pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to OEM components. The kit utilizes a 2-piece disc assembly to reduce both rotating and unsprung weight. Some applications offer a floating disc option to mitigate thermal stresses and prevent warping under extreme heat. The rotors feature a distinctive slot design that not only reduces braking noise but also expels gas and pad debris more efficiently than conventional designs. All rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Ksport recommends cross-drilled rotors for daily driven vehicles due to their cooler operating temperatures, while slotted rotors are advised for more frequent track use. The size of the rotor will influence the required wheel size; adding approximately 4 inches to the rotor size can help determine the necessary wheel diameter.
