The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit represents the pinnacle of braking performance, engineered as a direct bolt-on upgrade for maximum stopping power. It builds upon the benefits of Ksport's Procomp kit by incorporating larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, along with increased piston sizes for superior braking force. The calipers themselves are forged from a solid billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, offering unparalleled strength, light weight, and resistance to corrosion. This one-piece construction eliminates weak spots found in cast or welded calipers, preventing fracturing and warpage over time. Inside, aluminum pistons are utilized for their superior heat resistance and are protected by heavy-duty seals capable of withstanding racetrack temperatures. The opposed-piston design ensures consistent brake pad grip and even wear across the rotor surface. The Supercomp kit features lightweight two-piece rotors, available in either Cross Drilled or Slotted options. This reduction in rotational mass contributes to quicker brake response and reduced stopping distances. The two-piece design allows the outer rotor section to expand and contract independently, significantly reducing the likelihood of warping due to heat buildup. Furthermore, the aluminum center sections act as effective heat sinks, dissipating heat away from the rotor more efficiently and contributing to a longer service life. Included in the standard kit are (2) Forged, Monoblock Aluminum Calipers, (2) Lightweight Two-Piece Rotors (Slotted or Drilled), a set of SC5 Street Brake Pads offering a balance of street performance and occasional track use with reduced dust and noise, and (2) Stainless Steel Braided Brake Lines that resist expansion under pressure for a firmer pedal feel and quicker response. All necessary mounting components, hardware, and an owner's manual are also provided. Ksport offers a 12-month limited warranty covering manufacturer defects. Customers should note that Ksport Big Brake kits are built to order, with production and delivery typically taking 4-6 weeks.
