By incorporating advanced brake technology, this kit effectively minimizes brake fade and ensures continuous cooling and refreshment of the brake pad surface under demanding braking conditions. The kit features extreme lightweight, one-piece calipers CNC-machined from aircraft-quality billet. These calipers have a differential bore configuration, weigh just over 5 lbs each, and include built-in protection grooves for bridge tubes. Standard features on each caliper include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to OEM systems. Stainless-steel brake lines are utilized to prevent hose expansion under pressure. Ksport employs a 2-piece disc assembly for reduced rotating and unsprung weight. Many applications offer a floating disc option to mitigate thermal stresses that can cause warping or cupping of the braking surface during extreme heat. The unique rotor slot design minimizes braking noise and more efficiently expels gas and pad debris compared to conventional designs. All rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles due to their cooler operating temperatures, while slotted rotors are advised for vehicles with more track use. This specific kit includes 330mm rotors and 8-piston forged monoblock aluminum calipers. This big brake kit is designed for easy installation with minimal tools required in most applications and is specifically designed for the Mazda MX-6 from 1993-1997.
