This sophisticated system builds upon the Procomp kit's foundation by incorporating larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, alongside an increased number of pistons. The inclusion of standard full-floating rotors significantly improves self-centering within the caliper, leading to reduced drag and more consistent braking performance. Constructed with meticulous attention to detail, the calipers are forged from a solid billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring a lightweight yet incredibly strong and corrosion-resistant component. These calipers utilize aluminum pistons, which offer superior heat resistance for consistent performance even under demanding conditions. The two-piece floating rotor design allows the outer section to adjust, further enhancing self-centering for optimal brake application and reduced drag. Included with the kit are SC5 Street Pads, formulated from NAOC Ceramic material to provide excellent braking performance for both street driving and occasional track use. These pads offer a significant reduction in brake dust (50% or more compared to race pads) and minimize noise and rotor wear. For enhanced pedal feel and responsiveness, the kit features D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which prevent hose expansion under pressure. Buyers can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors; cross-drilled are recommended for daily drivers due to better cooling, while slotted rotors are advised for track-focused vehicles.
