Big Brake Kit

This sophisticated bolt-on upgrade builds upon the Procomp kit by incorporating larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, alongside increased piston count and standard full-floating rotors for enhanced self-centering within the caliper. The calipers are precision-machined from a single billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring a lightweight yet incredibly strong and corrosion-resistant structure. These calipers also feature aluminum pistons, which offer superior heat resistance and maintain consistent operation under demanding conditions. The accompanying caliper brackets are CNC machined from carbon steel, facilitating a direct bolt-on installation to the OEM caliper bracket locations, even with the significantly larger Ksport calipers. This kit features a floating two-piece rotor design, allowing the outer section of the rotor to shift slightly for better self-centering in the caliper. This reduces brake drag and optimizes performance through more even pad application. Buyers can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors; slotted rotors are recommended for track use due to their cooling properties and ability to shed brake dust, while cross-drilled rotors are suggested for daily driven vehicles as they run cooler and can reduce pad wear. Included are NAOC Ceramic SC5 Street Pads, designed for optimal braking performance in street and occasional track use. These pads offer a significant reduction in brake dust (50% or more compared to race pads) and minimize noise and rotor wear, with an optimal operating temperature range between 194°F and 1022°F. The kit also comes standard with D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which eliminate line expansion under pressure for a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel. Customization options for caliper colors and finishes are available. Ksport Big Brake kits are built to order and typically require 4-6 weeks for production and delivery.
