It builds upon the benefits of the Procomp kit by incorporating larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, along with increased piston sizes and standard full-floating rotors for optimal self-centering and reduced drag. The calipers themselves are forged from a solid billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring lightweight construction, exceptional strength, and resistance to corrosion, while aluminum pistons further enhance heat management. The floating two-piece rotor design allows the outer section to shift slightly, improving self-centering, reducing brake drag, and boosting performance through more even application. Stainless steel braided brake lines are included as standard, providing a firmer pedal feel and quicker pedal response by preventing expansion under pressure. Customers can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors, with cross-drilled recommended for daily driven vehicles due to cooler operation, and slotted rotors favored for track use. Calipers are available in various standard and premium finishes, with extensive custom color options available. Included with the kit are SC5 Street Pads, which offer optimal braking performance for street and occasional track use, significantly reducing brake dust, noise, and rotor wear. These pads are effective within an optimal operating temperature range of 194°F - 1022°F.
