This sophisticated bolt-on system builds upon the advantages of the Procomp kit, incorporating significantly larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, along with an increased piston count for superior performance. The calipers are meticulously crafted from a one-piece billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring exceptional lightweight strength and resistance to corrosion. Aluminum pistons are utilized within the calipers for enhanced heat dissipation and reliable operation under demanding conditions. Standard on all Supercomp systems are floating two-piece rotors, which feature an outer section that allows for slight adjustments. This design promotes better self-centering within the caliper, reducing brake drag and improving overall performance through more consistent application. For customization, Ksport offers various caliper color options, including standard painted finishes (Orange, Red, Black, Yellow) and premium high-polish finishes (Silver, Gold, Titanium), along with numerous custom color possibilities. This kit includes SC5 Street Pads, designed to provide optimal braking performance for street driving and occasional track use. These pads significantly reduce brake dust and rotor wear compared to race pads, operating effectively within a temperature range of 194°F to 1022°F. Buyers can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors; cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily drivers due to better cooling, while slotted rotors are suggested for track-focused vehicles.
