Big Brake Kit

The Ksport BKST010-846SO Big Brake Kit is engineered to provide superior stopping performance, designed to dramatically reduce brake fade and continuously cool pad surfaces during demanding track sessions or spirited street driving. The kit includes a lightweight billet caliper, CNC machined from aircraft-grade aluminum, weighing just over 5 lbs. It is available in 4, 6, or 8 piston configurations with differential bore, opposed-piston designs for enhanced caliper rigidity and superior pad wear. The calipers come standard with aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. Stainless-steel braided brake lines are also included, which eliminate hose expansion under pressure for a consistent and firm pedal feel. This kit features a two-piece floating rotor design that minimizes thermal stress, preventing warping and cupping. The two-piece construction also reduces rotating and unsprung weight, contributing to improved handling response. Each rotor is heat-treated and balanced for reliable performance. The unique slot pattern on the rotors helps expel gas and pad debris more efficiently than conventional designs, while also reducing braking noise. Ksport notes that while cross-drilled rotors are ideal for daily-driven vehicles, slotted rotors like those in this kit are recommended for track-focused applications with more aggressive braking demands. The Ksport BKST010-846SO is designed for straightforward installation with minimal tooling in most applications, offering a complete, high-performance upgrade over factory braking systems. This specific kit includes 8-piston orange calipers with 356mm (14-inch) slotted, floating rotors, intended for front axle fitment. It is not subject to CARB regulations.
