This kit is designed as a sophisticated bolt-on upgrade, enhancing brake performance particularly under sustained high-heat conditions. It effectively reduces brake fade by continually cooling the brake pads' surface during braking. The caliper is a standout feature, being an extreme lightweight, one-piece design CNC machined from aircraft-quality billet aluminum. It weighs just over 5 lbs. and incorporates differential bore configuration for optimized piston movement. Standard features include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates, all contributing to durability and consistent performance. The opposed piston caliper design significantly enhances both pad wear longevity and caliper rigidity compared to OEM components. Complementing the caliper, stainless-steel brake lines are included to ensure they do not expand under pressure, maintaining consistent brake feel. The braking system employs a 2-piece disc assembly, which effectively reduces both rotating and unsprung weight, leading to improved vehicle dynamics. Many applications offer a floating disc option to mitigate thermal stresses and prevent disc warping or cupping of the braking surface under extreme heat. Every rotor undergoes heat treatment and balancing prior to shipment to guarantee the best possible performance. For daily driven vehicles, cross-drilled rotors are recommended as they tend to run cooler than slotted rotors, while slotted rotors are advised for vehicles with more track-oriented use.
