This sophisticated, bolt-on system enhances the already capable Procomp kit with larger calipers, rotors, and pads, along with an increased number of pistons and standard full-floating rotors that allow for better self-centering and reduced drag. Each caliper is precision-machined from a single billet of aerospace-grade aluminum, ensuring exceptional strength and light weight while resisting corrosion. Aluminum pistons are utilized within the calipers for superior heat management and consistent performance under demanding conditions. The floating two-piece rotor design is standard, featuring an outer section that can shift slightly, promoting better self-centering within the caliper. This mechanism not only reduces brake drag but also enhances overall performance through more uniform pad application. The kit comes standard with SC5 Street Pads, which offer optimal braking performance for both street driving and occasional track use. These pads are designed to reduce brake dust by over 50% compared to race pads and minimize noise and rotor wear, operating effectively between 194°F and 1022°F. For enhanced pedal feel and response, Ksport includes D.O.T compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines. These lines resist expansion under pressure, leading to a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel than standard rubber lines. Customers can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors; slotted rotors are recommended for track use, while cross-drilled rotors offer better cooling for daily driven vehicles. Ksport Big Brake kits are built to order, with production and delivery typically taking 4-6 weeks. It is important to note that Ksport Big Brake kits fit 2WD vehicles only unless otherwise stated and are designed for vehicles with 19.7-inch wheels or larger.
