The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit (BKVW070-961SO) is engineered to deliver superior stopping power for 1998-2010 Volkswagen Beetles, specifically models including the Convertible, 1.8i 20V turbo, and 2.3i V5 with OE 2-piece caliper configurations. This kit features extreme lightweight, 1-piece billet aluminum Super 8-piston calipers that weigh just over 7 lbs each. They utilize aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel brake lines to prevent expansion under pressure and improve pad wear. The opposed-piston design enhances caliper rigidity and pad grip over OEM systems. This kit includes Ksport's 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. The floating design mitigates thermal stresses, preventing warping and cupping of the braking surface. Rotors feature a unique slot design to expel gas and debris faster, and are available in either slotted (recommended for track use) or cross-drilled (recommended for daily driving) styles.
