This kit builds upon the benefits of Ksport's Procomp kits, offering larger calipers, rotors, and pads, along with an increased piston count for superior performance. The calipers are meticulously crafted from a solid billet of aerospace-quality aluminum, ensuring a lightweight yet incredibly strong and corrosion-free component. These calipers also feature aluminum pistons, which enhance heat resistance and maintain uncompromised operation under demanding conditions. Standard on all Supercomp systems is the floating two-piece rotor design. This design allows the outer rotor section to shift slightly, providing better self-centering within the caliper. This results in reduced brake drag and more consistent, even application of braking force, leading to improved performance. Ksport offers custom caliper color options, including standard painted finishes like Orange, Red, Black, and Yellow, as well as premium high-polish finishes and custom color choices for nearly limitless personalization. The kit includes SC5 NAOC Ceramic pads, optimized for street use and occasional track conditions. These pads offer a significant reduction in brake dust (50% or more compared to race pads), noise, and rotor wear, with optimal operating temperatures between 194°F - 1022°F. Complementing the calipers and rotors are D.O.T compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which eliminate line expansion under pressure, leading to a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel compared to stock rubber lines. Customers can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily-driven vehicles as they run cooler, while slotted rotors are recommended for vehicles that will see more track time. The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit is built to order, with production and delivery typically taking 4-6 weeks. Fitment is confirmed for various 2006-2011 Volkswagen Passat models, including Base and CC trims, with a comprehensive list available via search on the Fitment Industries website. Fitment Industries also notes that if their sales team recommends an incompatible setup, they will work with the customer to make things right, potentially waiving restocking or return shipping fees.
