At its core, the Supercomp kit features larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads compared to standard offerings. It incorporates increased pistons and standard full-floating rotors, which enhance self-centering within the caliper for improved performance. The calipers are constructed from a single billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring a lightweight yet incredibly strong and corrosion-resistant component. Aluminum pistons are utilized for superior heat resistance. Key features include a lightweight forged one-piece caliper for strength and even thickness, CNC-machined carbon steel caliper brackets to facilitate bolting onto OEM locations, and a floating two-piece rotor design for better self-centering and reduced brake drag. The kit comes standard with SC5 Street Pads, offering optimal braking for street and occasional track use with reduced dust and noise. D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are also included, providing a quicker pedal response and firmer pedal feel by preventing expansion under pressure. Buyers can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors, with cross-drilled recommended for daily drivers due to better cooling and slotted for track use. Customization options for caliper colors are available, including standard shades and premium high-polish or anodized finishes. The kit is built to order, with production and delivery typically taking 4-6 weeks. It is designed to fit with 18-inch wheels and above. Fitment is confirmed for various 2009-2013 Volkswagen Golf GTI models.
