This sophisticated, bolt-on system builds upon the Procomp kit's foundation with substantially larger calipers, rotors, brake pads, and an increased piston count. The full-floating rotor design enhances self-centering within the caliper, which minimizes brake drag and promotes more even pad application for superior performance. Constructed for extreme durability and light weight, Ksport's calipers are forged from a solid billet of aerospace-grade aluminum in a one-piece design, ensuring uniform thickness and exceptional strength while resisting corrosion. The Supercomp system includes a floating two-piece rotor design, where the outer section can subtly adjust for optimal alignment, further contributing to reduced drag and consistent braking. Included with the kit are SC5 Street Pads, formulated to provide optimal braking performance for both street driving and occasional track use. These pads offer a significant reduction in brake dust (50% or more compared to race pads), noise, and rotor wear, with an optimal operating temperature range of 194°F - 1022°F. Enhancing pedal feel and response, DOT-compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are also standard, preventing line expansion under pressure for a firmer, more immediate pedal engagement. Customers can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors, with slotted recommended for track use and cross-drilled for daily drivers due to better cooling. Additionally, Ksport offers a wide array of caliper color options, from standard painted finishes to premium high-polish and custom anodized colors.
