Standard full-floating rotors enhance self-centering capabilities within the caliper, optimizing performance and reducing drag. Each caliper is meticulously crafted from a solid billet of aerospace-quality aluminum, utilizing a one-piece forged construction. This method ensures exceptional lightweight properties, unwavering strength, and resistance to corrosion. The calipers are further equipped with aluminum pistons, which offer superior heat resistance and maintain optimal operation under demanding conditions. The Supercomp system features a floating two-piece rotor design, where the outer rotor section allows for slight axial movement. This design contributes to better self-centering within the caliper, reducing brake drag and improving the evenness of brake application for enhanced performance. Included are SC5 Street Pads (Ceramic), optimized for street driving and occasional track use, offering a significant reduction in dust (over 50% compared to race pads), noise, and rotor wear, with an optimal operating temperature range of 194°F - 1022°F. Customers can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors; slotted rotors are recommended for track use, while cross-drilled rotors are suggested for daily drivers due to their cooler running temperatures. Calipers are available in standard painted colors (Orange, Red, Black, Yellow) with options for premium high-polish finishes (Silver, Gold, Titanium) and custom color choices.
