Big Brake Kit

Designed specifically for Mini Cooper models, this kit bypasses the need for extensive vehicle modifications, making it an accessible yet powerful enhancement. This sophisticated system includes larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads compared to standard offerings, along with an increased number of pistons for enhanced performance. The kit features standard full-floating rotors, which improve self-centering within the caliper. The calipers themselves are constructed from a solid billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring lightweight strength and resistance to corrosion. Aluminum pistons are utilized for superior heat resistance and consistent operation, even under demanding conditions. High-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel wear plates are also standard, contributing to the caliper's durability and performance. The two-piece design allows for independent expansion and contraction of the rotor sections, reducing warping due to heat. The lightweight center sections are crafted from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, minimizing rotational mass for quicker brake response. D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are also included, offering improved pedal response and a firmer feel by preventing expansion under pressure. The kit comes standard with SC5 Street Brake Pads, suitable for street and occasional track use, known for reducing dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions. All Ksport Big Brake kits are built to order and typically require 4-6 weeks for production and delivery. The standard kit includes two forged, monoblock aluminum calipers, two lightweight two-piece rotors (slotted or drilled), a set of SC5 street brake pads, two stainless steel brake lines, and all necessary mounting hardware and an owner's manual. Ksport provides a 12-month limited warranty against manufacturer defects. This system is compatible with 17-inch wheels and larger.
