The calipers are constructed from a solid billet of aerospace-quality aluminum, offering a lightweight yet incredibly strong one-piece forged design that eliminates weak spots. This construction ensures even thickness and strength, preventing fracturing, warpage, and long-term failure. The calipers feature aluminum pistons with heavy-duty seals capable of handling racetrack temperatures, ensuring smooth operation without drag and protection against corrosion. An opposed-piston design guarantees consistent brake pad grip and wear, complemented by high-temperature seals, titanium retainer clips, and stainless-steel wear plates. The 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum center sections reduce rotational mass, contributing to quicker wheel stopping and more responsive braking. The two-piece design also allows the rotor's outer section to expand and contract independently, reducing warping from heat buildup, while the aluminum center sections act as effective heat sinks. The Procomp system includes CNC-machined carbon steel caliper brackets to ensure proper fitment to OEM locations. Standard SC5 Street Pads are included, offering optimal performance for street driving with reduced dust and noise, and an upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for track use. D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are also standard, providing a firmer pedal response and reduced line expansion under pressure. Customization options are available for caliper color, center bell upgrades, and rotor type (cross-drilled for daily driving or slotted for track use).
