This sophisticated bolt-on system builds upon the benefits of the Procomp kit by incorporating larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, along with an increased number of pistons. Standard full-floating rotors are included, enhancing self-centering within the caliper and optimizing performance. Constructed from a solid billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, the one-piece calipers offer exceptional lightweight strength and are resistant to corrosion. These calipers also feature aluminum pistons, which provide superior heat resistance and maintain uncompromised operation under demanding conditions. The Supercomp systems come standard with floating two-piece rotors. This design reduces brake drag and improves performance through more consistent application. Buyers can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors; cross-drilled are recommended for daily drivers due to cooler operation, while slotted rotors are suggested for track use. Additionally, Ksport offers a wide array of custom caliper color finishes, from standard painted options like orange, red, black, and yellow, to premium high-polish finishes and custom anodized colors. Included with the kit are SC5 Street Pads, formulated with NAOC Ceramic material to provide optimal braking performance for street use and occasional track days. These pads significantly reduce brake dust by over 50% compared to race pads, while also minimizing noise and rotor wear. The optimal operating temperature range for these pads is between 194°F and 1022°F. The kit also features D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which prevent expansion under pressure, resulting in quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel compared to stock rubber lines.
