Big Brake Kit

This sophisticated system builds upon the proven benefits of Ksport's Procomp kits, incorporating larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, along with an increased number of pistons for enhanced performance. The calipers are precision-machined from a solid billet of aerospace-quality aluminum, forming a lightweight, one-piece forged construction that ensures unparalleled strength and resistance to corrosion. Inside, aluminum pistons provide superior heat resistance, while high-temperature seals and stainless steel brake pad wear plates contribute to uncompromising operation and durability. The opposed piston caliper design significantly improves pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to OEM systems. This kit features a floating two-piece rotor design, standard on all Supercomp systems. The floating outer section allows for slight adjustments, promoting better self-centering within the caliper, which reduces brake drag and enhances overall performance through more even pad application. The rotors are available in either slotted or cross-drilled configurations; slotted rotors are recommended for track use, while cross-drilled rotors are better suited for daily driving due to their superior cooling properties. The rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Included in the kit are two forged, monoblock aluminum calipers, two lightweight two-piece rotors (slotted or drilled), a set of SC5 Street Brake Pads, and two stainless steel brake lines. The D.O.T. compliant stainless steel braided brake lines are crucial for preventing line expansion under pressure, resulting in a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel. All necessary mounting components and hardware are also provided, along with an owner's manual. This rear brake kit is specifically designed for the Cadillac SRX models from 2004-2009.
