Big Brake Kit

This sophisticated bolt-on system features larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, along with increased piston count and standard full-floating rotors for superior self-centering within the caliper. Constructed from a solid billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, the one-piece forged calipers offer exceptional strength, light weight, and corrosion resistance. The calipers utilize aluminum pistons with heavy-duty seals capable of withstanding high temperatures, ensuring smooth operation and preventing corrosion. An opposed-piston design promotes consistent brake pad wear on both sides of the rotor. Standard features include high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The lightweight center sections, made from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, reduce rotational mass for quicker brake response. This design also minimizes rotor warping caused by heat buildup, as the outer section can expand and contract independently. Aluminum center sections act as heat sinks, dissipating heat away from the rotor. For daily driven vehicles, cross-drilled rotors are recommended for cooler operation, while slotted rotors are advised for vehicles with more track use, as they help wipe away heat, dust, and gases. All rotors are heat-treated and balanced before shipment. Included in the standard kit are two forged, monoblock aluminum calipers, two lightweight two-piece rotors (slotted or drilled), a set of SC5 Street Brake Pads, two stainless steel brake lines, and all necessary mounting components and hardware. Ksport brake kits come with a 12-month limited warranty covering manufacturer defects. Please note that Ksport Big Brake kits are built to order and typically require 4-6 weeks for production and delivery. This system is appropriate for 17-inch wheels and larger.
