The caliper boasts a differential bore configuration, aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates, all contributing to enhanced pad wear and caliper rigidity. The kit typically utilizes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which lowers rotating and unsprung weight while mitigating thermal stresses from extreme heat. Ksport rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance, with slotted rotors being recommended for vehicles that see more track use than daily driving. This specific Procomp Big Brake Kit (BKHD032-621SO) is designed for the 1996-2000 Honda Civic EX, SI, and EK chassis models that originally came equipped with 10.3-inch rotors. The kit includes a ProComp 6-piston caliper in red, with a 304mm (12-inch) slotted rotor for the front position.
