This kit builds upon the benefits of Ksport's Procomp line, incorporating larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, along with an increased number of pistons and standard full-floating rotors that facilitate better self-centering within the caliper. Each caliper is meticulously crafted from a single billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring a lightweight yet incredibly strong and corrosion-free component. The calipers also utilize aluminum pistons, which offer superior heat resistance for consistent performance under demanding conditions. Key features of the Supercomp kit include a one-piece forged caliper design for optimal strength and uniform thickness, CNC-machined carbon steel caliper brackets to ensure proper alignment with OEM mounting locations despite the larger caliper size, and a floating two-piece rotor design. The floating rotor allows for slight adjustments, improving self-centering, reducing brake drag, and enhancing overall braking performance through more even pad application. Buyers can also customize caliper colors, with standard options including Orange, Red, Black, and Yellow, and premium finishes like Silver, Gold, Titanium, and Glassy/Hard Anodized colors available, alongside over 20,000 custom color finishes. Included with the kit are SC5 Street Pads, designed for optimal performance in street and occasional track use, offering a 50% reduction in brake dust compared to race pads and minimizing noise and rotor wear. The optimal operating temperature range for these pads is between 194°F and 1022°F. D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are also standard, preventing line expansion under pressure for a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel. Customers can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors; cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily drivers due to better cooling, while slotted rotors are suggested for track-focused vehicles.
