The Ksport Procomp Big Brake Kit offers superior stopping power, integrating new brake technology to minimize brake fade and maintain optimal pad surface temperature. The kit features an extreme lightweight, one-piece caliper CNC machined from aircraft-quality billet, weighing just over 5lbs. It incorporates differential bore configuration, protection grooves for bridge tubes, aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM setups, while the stainless-steel brake lines ensure a firm pedal by preventing expansion under pressure. Ksport utilizes a 2-piece disc assembly to reduce both rotating and unsprung weight. Many applications include a floating disc option, which mitigates thermal stresses from extreme heat, preventing disc warping or cupping of the braking surface. The unique rotor slot design reduces braking noise and more efficiently expels gas and pad debris compared to conventional designs. All rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. The specific application details indicate this kit is for the 2002-2006 Honda CR-V rear, featuring 15-inch (380mm) diameter, 32mm width rotors and 6-piston calipers. Slotted rotors are recommended for track use, while cross-drilled rotors are suitable for daily drivers as they tend to run cooler.
