Big Brake Kit

This kit is designed as a direct bolt-on, meaning no vehicle modifications are necessary for installation, and minimal tools are required. It builds upon the benefits of lesser kits by incorporating larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, along with an increased number of pistons and standard full-floating rotors that enhance self-centering within the caliper. The calipers themselves are a testament to advanced engineering, featuring a one-piece construction from a solid billet of aerospace-quality aluminum. This monolithic design ensures uniform thickness and exceptional strength across the entire caliper body, eliminating potential weak spots that can lead to fracturing or warpage over time. An opposed-piston design guarantees consistent brake pad grip and wear on both sides of the rotor, while standard features like high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates further enhance durability and performance. The lightweight center sections, crafted from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, lower rotational mass, aiding in quicker wheel stopping and providing the instant brake response needed for high-performance driving. The two-piece design also mitigates rotor warping by allowing the outer section to expand and contract independently from the center section under heat. Ksport offers these rotors in either Slotted (recommended for track use) or Cross Drilled (recommended for daily driving) configurations. The full floating rotor design allows the outer section to shift slightly, reducing brake drag and improving performance through more even pad application. The Supercomp Rear Big Brake systems include 8-piston lightweight aluminum calipers, standard SC5 street brake pads (with an option to upgrade to RCI Race Pads), DOT-compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines for firmer pedal feel and quicker response, and CNC machined carbon-steel caliper brackets to ensure a direct fit to the OEM caliper bracket location. The kit also comes with all necessary mounting hardware and an owner's manual. Ksport offers extensive customization options for caliper colors and center bell finishes.
